Ambedkar Jayanti 2022: Date, History, Significance and Achievements of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar

The birth anniversary of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar, famous as the architect of the constitution, is celebrated every year on 14 April as Ambedkar Jayanti or Bhim Jayanti. People all over the country celebrate Babasaheb’s birth anniversary. Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar has been awarded the Bharat Ratna. His whole life has been a struggle. He made an unprecedented contribution in the making of the constitution of the country after the independence of India. 

Babasaheb fought his whole life for the rights of the weaker and backward classes. Dr. Ambedkar was the pioneer of social renaissance and the builder of an egalitarian society. Ambedkar wanted to empower the weak, labourers, women etc. of the society through education. He was a politician, economist, philosopher, anthropologist and social reformer who fought for the rights of the Dalit community by raising his voice against the Indian caste system.
